Angel smiled, looking g down at the shell.

"And you were waiting so long......" Lane murmured to himself, thinking.

Angel looked up,not able or make out what Lane said.

"And I... I don't know what to do..." Lane murmured, looking at the sky.

Angel looked at him. Her eyes sparkled in the moon light

"I don't know... Whether to...." Lane cut himself off and sighed, angry at himself.

Angel looked down. "Lane.....are you okay?"

Lane looked up. "What- no, it's nothing, I'm okay." He mumbled, faking a smile while he thought.

Angel could tell he was faking his smile. So she, unenthusiastically, smiled too.

Lane glanced over at her. "I... I don't know.... You wouldn't understand.... I wish so,ebony would understand.... Why does everything have to be so hard...." He murmured, eyes wide stressfully

Angelheart's ears pricked at the new name.mentioned. "Who's Ebony?"

Angelheart looked down. "Lane, I would understand if you gave me the chance. I know what its like to loose someone close to you, in fact, I lost a lot of people close to me."

Lane sighed. " Its hard.... When so many people like you..... It's not fun, it's stressful. If you love somebody you break another's heart. And I don't want to do that."

Angelheart looked away. "If you love someone enough, breaking someone else heart is something you have to do." she mumbled.

".... But you can't do that! It's not right!" Lane shouted, trying to keep quiet.

Angelheart flinched, tears in her eyes. "You stole something of mine. My heart. And now your returning it to me. Broken." she mumbled looking away.

Angel sighed. "Atleast there are ponies out there who would die for you. I have nobody." she said standing up and trotting over to the house.

"Look Angel! You have me! I have you! T-That's all you need right?" Lane exclaimed, his heart pounding.

She looked down as she stood by the door. "Lane, you have me. But am I really what you want?"

Lane looked at Angel, eyes wide. "I-I'm not sure..." He murmured.

Angelheart sighed. "Come to me when you figure out " She mumbled and walked into the house.

Lane shook his head and turned away from Angel. He thought for a while. She reminded him so much of AngelWings, it almost hurt to talk to her. He sighed. He didn't feel a true connection to Angel, but he knew if he told her that she would be devastated.

Angel walked over to her room. She laid down on the bed. She quietly sniffled. She already knew that Lane didnt have any feelings for her, but she couldn't cope with itm
